Two Sides

9/23/10
The debate over agents in college football is really a tale of two sides: the giver and the taker. In the end, both deserve the blame because both are equally guilty. It's a simple concept that has caused a whirlwind of complex controversy. The question that most people ask is why one side is heavily punished, while the other side recieves no punishment at all. Players, coaches, and fans are all looking for answers to this question. "You don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure this thing out now," Florida head-coach, Urban Meyer, has stated. "You want to stop some kind of unethical, illegal activity. How do you do it? You punish them. The players get punished, and you want to stop the other side, too." This does not mean a light slap on the wrist either. They need to be stripped of thier certification the same way that college athletes are sripped of thier eligibility. We need to hit these agents where it really hurts because it's the only way to get them to start listening.
