Why I Chose My Topic

I chose the topic of agents in college football because it is a spotlight of controversy that has been plaguing the news of the sports world for the past couple of months. Personally, I am a huge fan of college football; it is one of my biggest passions and I follow news stories all year-round. When the NCAA brought the hammer down on USC with unusually harsh sanctions following the investigation of '05 Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush (which found him and his family guilty of receiving improper benefits from marketing agents during his years at USC), it seemed to blow the door wide open for player-agent investigations around the country. It has become such a hot topic this football season and I wanted to further research and pick apart this heated debate myself. This is a topic that I knew I could blog about every day because it is something that will hold my interest and keep me intrigued for the duration of the class.
