Blog Topic

9/8/10
The topic that I will be blogging about during the extent of this class is the growing concern over agents disrupting the world of college football. The problem of agents tempting young college football players with "improper benefits" and luring them with material incentives has created a whirlwind of controversy, especially over the past couple of years. With the NCAA breathing heavily down the necks of these athletes with their painstaking investigations and harsh punishments accumulating at an alarming rate, one must ask the question: should these agents also recieve punishment for their dishonest actions? Some argue that the college athletes should be held solely responsible for their decisions since they are taught the rules, are well aware of the consequences, and should simply know better. Others, however, believe that these selfish-driven agents should also be held accountable for preying on these vulnerable young people at such a difficult time in their lives.
